Marisa Valois

Marisa has been performing in front of large audiences since the age of 12. She has studied piano, flute, and voice. At Algoma University she studied voice under the direction of Agnes McCarthy and acquired her Grade 9 Certificate through the Royal Conservatory with first class honours. She has performed in various productions with the Musical Comedy Guild, as well as with various bands in Sault Ste. Marie, most recently one called “Red and the Muscle.” In 2014 she graduated from Nipissing University with a Bachelor of Education for Music and History and received the James Jamison Award for Passion in Music Education. Following her graduation, Marisa taught Grades 7–9 music in Luton, England, and then returned to Canada to supply within various music classrooms in the Algoma District School Board
